There are now many alternative indicators economic indicators GDP is used such as indicators of sustainable economic welfare (ISEW) applies in Belgium, Chile, Germany, Italy..., the real development index real (GPI) applied in Australia and green GDP indicators applied in the U.S. and China. In these countries the green GDP index as a measure of sustainable development. In particular, the cost of economic activities to include hidden costs such as the costs for degradation of environment and natural resources.
