In this study, the main objective is to build landslide susceptibility map in Quang Nam province for the planning of construction of roads using weights of evidence (WOE) model based on Geographic Information System (GIS). Data including 520 past landslides and 10 factors influencing the landslides including: topographic elevation, slope angle, topographic surface shape, direction slope, distance to rivers, topographic humidity, flow accumulation, flow direction, precipitation, and land use were collected. The results show that 30,35% and 16,48% of the study area fall into high and very high susceptibility zones. Verification results show that 42,14% of the recorded landslides were found in very high susceptibility areas 29,56% in high susceptibility areas, around 18, 24% in moderate susceptibility areas and 8,81% and 1,26%, respectively, in low and very low susceptibility areas. It means that the constructed landslide susceptibility map ensures reliability, which can be used in landslide risk reduction, management and good planning of construction in the area.
