United States Policy in Vietnam under President G. Ford (August 1974 - April 1975) is studied based on original documents (published by the US Department of State) with a historical method. The findings reveal that: President Ford used the same approach that President Nixon and Kissinger planned for Vietnam to maintain the existence of the RVN. However, he focused on implementing the aid policy, including the addition of $300 million in military assistance for South Vietnam (September 1974 - January 1975), a three-year assistance program for Viet-Nam (February - March 1975). At the end of his term, he presented evidences which proved South Vietnam had been in need of an emergency aid (late March 1975) to seek US Congress’s consent.
