Objective: To investigate the presence of cardiac dyssynchrony in hypertension Patients. Subject and Method: 202 hypertension patients (as studying group) and 51 normal subjects (as control group) were evaluated clinically and echocardiographically with tissue Doppler imaging (TV!) to assess the severity and prevalence of myocardial dyssynchrony. Main measures were as follow: Ts-Max, Ts-SD, Te-Max, Te-SD of the 12 LV segments. Results: The time interval diffrence between two segments walls were significantly prolonged in studying group. The prevelance of sysstolic cardiac dyssynchrony in hypertension) patients (by ATs or = 65ms) two center segments of (septal - lateral, inferior - anterior, posterior- antero septum) were (54,5 percent, 44,1 percent, 50,0 percent), higher basal segments respectyvely: (38,l percent, 31,7 percent, 36,6 percent), in group 1 (p0,001). The prevelance of sysstolic and diastolic cardiac dyssynchrony in hypertension patients were 28,3 percent va 33,7 percent (by Ts-Max or = 100ms and Ts-SD or = 33ms) and 25,2 percent va 23,3 percent(by Te-Max or = 113ms and Te-S or = 34ms). The prevelance of isolated systolic, isolated diastolic, and co-existing systolic and diastolic cardiac dyssynchrony in hypertension patients were 26,2 percent, 15,8 percent, 10,4 percent Conclusions: Myocardial mechanical dyssynchrony is common in patients with hypertension.
