Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) affects children from birth or early childhood, causing impairments in main areas such as communication, social interactions, repetitive behaviors, hobby, and habits. Children with ASD have difficulties in communication including requesting skills. Teaching requesting skills is an essential part of teaching verbal behavior to individuals who have difficulties in requesting skills. Applied Behavior Analysis/Verbal Behavior, ABA/VB method is identified as an effective method in language and communication development for children ASD. The biggest advantage of ABA/VB is that it shows the antecedent, behavior and consequence of each communication function. This study was conducted on a case of a 4-year-old child with ASD through assessing the child's requesting skills, planning to develop requesting skills, performing activities and presenting the results using the ABA/VB method to develop requesting skill for children with ASD. The results show that after 03 months of intervention, the children's requesting skills have improved. Some specific requesting skills have increased in frequency of expression, some skills have not changed. Thus, it can be seen that the ABA/VB method is initially effective in developing requesting skills for children with ASD.
