Summarize the literature in the world and in Vietnam on the epidemiological, clinical, and laboratory characteristics and treatment of Talaromycosis in HIV/AIDS patients in order to improve the effectiveness, diagnosis and treatment. Methods: Search and analyze the literature related to clinical symptoms, diagnostic tests, and treatment of Talaromycosis infection. Result: Talaromycosis is a common opportunistic infection in HIV/AIDS patients with TCD4+ counts <100 cells/mm3, especially in Southeast Asia with mortality rates ranging from 5 to 30 %, mainly due to late diagnosis. Common manifestations of the disease are fever, liver, spleen enlargement and skin papules. The current diagnosis is based on conventional microbiological culture methods; Serological tests promise to shorten the time to diagnosis. Current treatment is based on the use of amphotercin B or itraconazole. Conclusion and recommendations: Research new test to improve the diagnostic time.
