The ability to solve problems is an important core competency that should be developed in all students, but this is especially true for high school students. Project-based learning is thought to be an effective way to developing students' learning capacity. In project-based teaching, teachers are to organize, support and help students to understand and assert themselves through active exploration and understanding of the problem. The results are a display of many different learning styles. This article presents the results of research on the development of problem-solving capacity among students in the mountainous province of Dien Bien through the use of project-based learning in the teaching of hydrocarbons in 11th grade organic chemistry of class.
