The class Liliopsida in Vietnam has 3041 species belonging to 468 genera and 62 families. The life form spectra are characterized by superiotity of the phanerophytes group (Ph): 69.04 percent; on the coutrary the Cryptopbytes (Cr): 12.57 percent, Therophytes (Th): 11.04 percent, Hydrophytes (Hy): 2.55 percent, Hemicrytophytes (Hm): 2,49 percent to Chmerophytes (Ch): 2.32 percent. The geographic elements spectra showed that Liliopsida of Vietnam has 2747 species (90.33 percent), the geographic elements are characterized by superiority of the tropical element (83.99 percent), the tropical Asia element takes 53.34 percent, the Vietnam edemic element takes 15,92 percent and other elements takes 6.34 percent. The number of useful plant species of the class Liliopsida was 1004 species (33.02 percent) is categorized as follow: The ornamental 11.77 percent, medicinal species 8.02 percent, food and food stuffs 2.07 percent, fatty oil and essential oil species... Based on Red Data Book of Vietnam and Red list of Vietnam (2007), list of Liliopsida threatened plants consists 118 species (3.88 percent), among them species are listed as Endanged (EN) take 58.47 percent; as Vulnerable (VU) take 28.81 percent, as Critically endangered (CR) take 9.32 percent; as Lower risk (LR) take 2.54 percent and only one species in EW criteria. The Vietnam endemic element are 484 species take 15.92 percent.
