In recent years, the Central Highlands economy has achieved some remarkable results with growth rates higher than the national average. However, economic growth is not sustainable, mainly based on the exploitation of natural resources which are depleting, easy capital, unskilled labor, while resources are used inefficiently. The economic structure of the shifting zone is not towards motivating specific advantages and comparative advantages of the region, low added value. The reality of growth and economic structure offers many challenges for sustainable development. This article highlights some of the current status and problems of economic restructuring in order tp contribute to the discussion and direction for the Central Highlands economic restructuring towards sustainable development.
