The authors have determined the similarities of morphological (phenotypes) and biochemical characters (chemotypes) between representatives of the gennus Ganoderma Karsten and other relatives. The character of the basidiospore's structures and the spectra of bioactive compounds have been discussed thoroughly to confirm the genetic relationships in the family Ganodermataceae in general. The fusants obtained grom G.lucidum and G.applanatum promoted in antitumor activity (increasingly 1,5 times as compared to parents) have contributed to prove the naturality of this genus of medicial mushrooms-Ganoderma Karsten
